The first engagement

The data audit

Two weeks at most, a fixed price, and a document that belongs to you. It is the only honest way to know what your data allows before committing a budget to it.

Why start here

Nobody can quote a data foundation without having seen the data. Quotes that arrive without an audit are bets: either the supplier pads the price to cover themselves, or they discover the problem along the way and come back for more budget.

We would rather sell you two weeks of bounded work and give you enough to decide. Including deciding to stop there, or to have someone else do the rest: the deliverable is precise enough to put out to tender.

How it runs

  1. 012 hours

    Scoping

A conversation with you and, if possible, whoever builds your reporting today. We are looking for the decisions you make on instinct, not for a list of your tools.

  2. 022 to 3 days

    Source inventory

Read access to each system, a record of volume, freshness and how data can be pulled. We note what comes out through an API, what only comes out as a file, and what does not come out at all.

  3. 032 to 3 days

The real state of the data

Cross-checking sources on the same entities: does a client carry the same identifier everywhere, do two systems tell the same story, how far back the history actually goes. This is where the bad surprises are, and it is better to find them now.

  4. 04half a day

    Read-out

We present the diagnosis and the decisions that follow from it. You leave with the document and the quote for the next stage.

What you receive

  • A map of your sources: what they hold, how often they change, how we can pull them.
  • A quality diagnosis: identifiers, duplicates, gaps in history, definitions that diverge between departments.
  • The three business questions costing you the most today, and what it takes to answer them.
  • A target architecture drawn for your case, not a generic diagram.
  • A detailed quote for what follows, and the monthly infrastructure cost once in production.
  • A starting order: what produces value first, what can wait.

What makes an audit fail

01

Access that never arrives

The first cause of delay, by far. We give you the exact list of read accesses needed on day one, and we start with whatever is already open while the rest is unlocked.

02

No one from the shop floor

If we only speak to management, we document the system as it is supposed to work, not as it works. An hour with the person who keeps the spreadsheet is worth three days of analysis.

03

A scope that widens along the way

The audit covers what was scoped. Anything that surfaces along the way is recorded and quoted in the deliverable, never absorbed quietly: that is what keeps the price and the deadline fixed.

Price and timeline

Between €1,500 and €5,000 depending on the number of sources and how accessible they are. Fixed price, quoted before we start. One to two calendar weeks. The deliverable belongs to you.

Is your data worth an audit?

Thirty minutes is enough to find out. If the answer is no, we will tell you so.
